May I first say “Sorry” for the delay in new Blog posts recently. Life has been fantastically busy.
Last week I was asked to speak at the Tips for Trainers Conference 2009, hosted by Eureka. The topic I chose was ‘How To Be a Vital Trainer’ and we had a fantastic group of people who all seemed to be very interested in improving their health and vitality.
Here is the link to the handout for the session. I hope you enjoy it and if you have any questions please do ask.

When it comes to being healthy, fitter, stronger, and living longer, rest and relaxation is extremely important. Most people subscribe to the philosophy that more is better and “pain equals gain”. This typically shows up in my client’s exercise programmes when they come to see me and to be quite honest, people are doing far too much and overexercising!
So we need to rest and relax more – but what does this mean?
Before I get into a description of what vitality is, and then how we can improve and build this in our lives, I want to pique your interest first:
To achieve any goal in your life – weight loss, improved health, lowered blood pressure, ideal cholesterol (ANY-goal) – you must have abundant energy. Considering that “energy” is the substance that makes up every living (and non-living) thing in the Universe, when you have more energy inside you, you theoretically have the entire Universe inside of you. From there it is then possible to call forth and create what you want using a law of the Universe.
